Third, the elderly who were younger, had religion, higher levels of education, social support, better health condition, and no severe or other illnesses were likely to exercise regularly. Lastly, the elderly who were younger, had spouses and religion, showed higher levels of education, income, social support, and better health condition were likely to practice regular health check-ups. The elderly who were less satisfied with family relationships and had illness tended to practice regular health check-ups. The results mean that policy and interventions should differ depending on the factors of health behaviors among the elderly and community programs and policies are necessary for health life extension.
